Top 8 College Mascots
Each one of these have their own special "abilities" some are more prominent than the others.
8.) Florida State University football: Chief Osceola: FSU has fought several times to keep their mascot and how do they celebrate? Shoot burning arrows into the field while riding a horse up and down the sidelines.
7.) Syracuse University: Orangemen: I think it’d be fun to paint myself orange in support of my school and mascot, think of the chicks you could get like that.
6.) University of Kentucky: Wildcats: I included Kentucky only because they had to change the drawing of the mascot because it looked like it had a huge johnson in it’s mouth. That says a lot about the school.
5.) University of Maryland: Terrapins: Why don’t they just call themselves the Turtles? We could all adorn our old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gear and head to the game.
4.) Ohio State: Buckeyes: Brutus just makes me laugh. He has a huge head and it looks like he’ll fall over any second.
3.) University of Georgia: Bulldogs: Each time a bulldog kicks the bucket they hold auditions for the new mascot. The ugly ass dog gets pampered and toted around like some dog-god. Sometimes I wish I had a bulldog……and lived in Georgia….and went to UGA…..and sent the dog in for auditions…….oh well, almost made it.
2.) University of Colorado football: Buffalo: Students take an actual buffalo, "Ralphie" and run him across the field before the football games. How crazy is that? I’d have to get really drunk to attempt that sh*t…
1.) St. Joseph’s University: Hawks: This mascot actually impresses the hell out of me. He or she (probably not she) has to stand on the sideline and flap their arms throughout the whole game……….

What about the Stanford Cardinal? It’s a damn tree! It even had its own Sportscenter commercial.

Hey there should be some love for the Marshall University Thundering Herd aka: Marco!!!!! WE ARE…MARSHALL!!!! And check out the We Are…Marshall movie coming Dec.22

These are all fine mascots, but the difference is that these are all just people wearing costumes, as opposed to Buckingham U. Badger who is an actual person - er, Badger.

I am looking for a full color book of college mascots including logos. History/origins would be great, too. Do you know of any?
