Top 8 Reasons To Watch The Crosstown Shootout

Biggest. Rivalry. Ever.  Kick back and enjoy the fireworks, here are the Top 8 Reasons to watch the game tonight.  9pm, ESPN.

8.)  Should be a decent basketball game:  Needless to say, both teams have very respectable records (UC: 13-4, XU: 11-2) and they matchup pretty well with each other.  Should be a good game, but you never know.

7.)  Count how many times they mention that Huggins is no longer at UC:  I bet on 8….OK, we get it, Huggins is gone.  Believe me, I was pissed.  I still am trying hard as hell to boycott watching the games.  However, the news coverage, and the out-of-town ESPN analysts will not let Huggins go…….

6.)  Watch Zimpher squirm:  Each time they mention Huggins it will inevitably be followed up by some comment about Zimpher.  My brother went to the Shoemaker Center a couple weeks ago and sat behind her.  He said that the fans didn’t stop heckling her throughout the whole game.  She deserves it….Bitch

5.)  Good excuse to get drunk on a weeknight:  The game doesn’t start till 9… You get off work around 5, and start drinking soon thereafter……It’s gonna be a long night.

4.)  Good excuse for why you are hungover tomorrow at work:  Yeah, but what are you gonna do…..

3.)  National Audience:  ESPN is always a good place to be showcased, hell, every single Duke game is on it. God, I hate Duke….But I digress.

2.)  Home School Pride:  This is the one game that splits up households, entire neighborhoods, and the best of friends.  One side is Blue, the other is Red.  Nothing a couple of beers can’t fix

1.)  Skyline Chili:  It’s Skyline time, the best chili in town.  Screw Goldstar.
